Position Summary 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for outside sales activity for in the North West region of the Province of Ontario and Saskatchewan. The position will be based in Sudbury and report directly to the Sales Manager.

Principal Responsibilities 

 

  • Promote Jannatec Technologies systems to ensure continued growth and to enhance Jannatec Technologies's position as a market leader through regular visits to a diverse customer base of contractors, engineering consultants and end-users

 

  • An ability to secure specifications from the end user to engineering level, to develop a strong presence with major end-users will be instrumental for success.

 

  • Contact and respond to municipal specifiers, distributors, contractors, consultants and end users, in order to provide technical support and promote/support new and existing Jannatec Technologies products.

 

  • Present and conduct Lunch and learns with Consultants, Contractors, Distributors and End Users

 

  • Attend and participate at conferences, Industry Association meetings, sales meetings and display at trade shows to promote Jannatec Technologies and its products

 

  • Promotes and follows-up on activities within assigned territory aimed at continuous sales opportunities and ensuring continued positive relationships with customers.

 

  • Negotiates some major municipal contracts to grow the new and existing Markets/Products in order to obtain best margins possible.

 

  • Participate in Cross-Functional Teams.

 

  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.

 

  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations

 

  • Closes new accounts by answering the telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.

 

  • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery date; explaining stock-outs.

 

  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.

 

  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities. 

 

  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications

 

  • Completion of a university degree, college diploma or CET designation

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful experience in sales and marketing activities within industrial industries;

 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems

 

  • A strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of value-selling;

 

  • Proven excellent communication and presentation skills

 

  • The ability to work independently and as a team player with strong self-motivation

 

  • Willingness for overnight travel

 

  • Salary to commensurate with experience
